Overview
Advanced view of Filaments, Voids & Superclusters
On scales much larger than individual clusters, galaxies form a cosmic web of filaments, sheets, nodes, and vast underdense voids. Superclusters are large associations within this web but are not generally fully gravitationally bound as single objects.
Large-scale structure tests cosmological models, dark matter, dark energy, neutrino masses, and the statistical properties of primordial fluctuations.
