Structure of Type Ia Supernova Evidence
For each supernova, observers measure a multi-band light curve, spectrum, redshift, peak brightness, and host-galaxy properties. Empirical corrections standardize the luminosity, after which the distance-redshift relation can be compared with cosmological models.
