Tell Time to Five Minutes

The minute hand counts5-minute intervals
Each numbered position on an analog clock represents five minutes after the hour for the minute hand. At1 it is5 minutes, at2 it is10, and so on.
The hour hand moves gradually
At3:40 the hour hand is between3 and4 because much of the hour has passed. It does not jump instantly to4 until4:00.
Digital notation separates hours and minutes
3:25 means3 hours on the current clock hour and25 minutes after3. The colon separates hour and minute values.
Skip-counting by5 makes clock reading efficient
Instead of counting minute marks one by one, count5,10,15,20... around the clock face.
