Overview
What Small-Body Reservoirs & Solar System Architecture means
Asteroids, comets, trans-Neptunian objects, and other small bodies occupy dynamically distinct reservoirs that preserve information about Solar-System formation and later gravitational rearrangement. Major reservoirs include the main asteroid belt, near-Earth populations, the Kuiper belt, scattered populations beyond Neptune, and the distant Oort cloud.
